Arnica Extract Product Description
Arnica Topical PSC is Plant Stem Cells Nutrition’s topical preparation for reducing swelling and pain of bruises, sprains, muscle or joint problems, swelling of the veins under the skin (superficial phlebitis), and for insect bites.
Arnica Montana rootlets (buds of flowers) 1:20 5% contain derivatives of thymol which has anti inflammatory effects. It promotes effective vasodilatation of subcutaneous blood capillaries and assists normal healing processes by facilitating transport of blood and fluid accumulations through dilatation of subcutaneous blood vessels. This was proven to be much effective than diclofenac for wound healing for foot surgery. Other components are arnicin, carotenoids, flavonoids, inulin, phulin, and sesquiterpene lactones which are known to reduce inflammation and decrease pain.
Arnica extract has been used in history to heal wounds, reduce inflammation, and soothe muscle aches. It has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities that can reduce pain and swelling, improving wound healing. It stimulates blood circulation. It is widely used for tender feet, arthritis, bruises, chill blains (if skin is unbroken), irritation from trauma, muscle or cartilage pain, rheumatism, sore or painful joints, sprains and swellings.
Arnica works by dispersing trapped, disorganized fluids from bumped and bruised tissue, joints and muscles, by stimulating the activity of white blood cells that relieve congested blood cells and by washing and cleansing wounds (very diluted)
